The OSw-Alt was originally created as a one-time birthday gift from the Weiherer team for their boss, Oswald Kundmüller. But since it was so well received, this Franconian Altbier is now available for everyone – pun included.
Altbier is a dark top-fermented beer style traditionally brewed in North Rhine-Westphalia / the greater Düsseldorf area. Our deep brown Franconian Altbier impresses with its fine nutty-malty aroma and a hint of raisin in the flavor. Its light body and pleasantly gentle sparkle make it an exceptionally drinkable beer. A beer for lovers of dark beer styles with a rounded character.

Since 2020, we have been brewing in our new, energy-efficient and innovative 60 hl 5-vessel brewhouse (1 hl = 100 liters) from Kaspar Schulz, Bamberg. Alongside master brewer Roland Kundmüller, our brewers take careful care of Weiher beer every day. And that is also necessary: Because brewing is a complex process.
