Our latest collaboration brew is here – the Weiherer / Oldskool Rauchweizen

Something truly delicious has been brewed! Together with our beer friend Dennis Kort from Oldskool Brewery in Eindhoven, we brewed a Rauchweizen (smoked wheat beer). Dennis has been a loyal guest here in Weiher for many years and has become a true and dearly cherished friend with whom we love to exchange ideas. He runs a small brewery and is co-owner of a beautiful bar with over 1,000 beers, the Drinkers Pub in Eindhoven. On top of that, Dennis was the Dutch Beer Sommelier Champion 2022/2023 and is taking part in this year's World Championship.

The recipe for this collaboration brew was created during Dennis's last visit to Weiher, on an evening filled with good beer and great company.

With intense smoky notes inspired by the Dutch tradition of smoking fish, it combines fruity aromas of banana and clove with a strong smoked flavor.

The official tapping took place on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, as part of the 26th Franconian Beer Festival in Nuremberg’s historic castle moat. From now on, you can enjoy the Weiherer / Oldskool Rauchweizen fresh from the tap at our guesthouse and buy it to take home from the Weiherer beer shop.
