This year, two apprentices are starting their training as brewers and maltsters at the Kundmüller brewery. Welcome to the team, Paul and Johannes.
Paul is a real native of Bamberg, as he says: "Born in Bamberg, grew up in Bamberg and thus directly connected to the beer culture". The 24-year-old has already studied history, but finally found out that he would rather switch to an artisanal craft profession - „thus brewing beer was just a logical consequence." We do think too: beer and history go well together. Cheers to many historical moments in the Weiher team!
Our second trainee is 1the 8-year-old Johannes. He is also a Franconian, originally from Possenheim, 70 kilometers away from Weiher. He decided to train as a brewer for a very simple reason: "Beer has become my passion." A beer brewing seminar at school started the fire, and since then he and his two brothers have been brewing in their mom´s jug at home. Now he is learning the know-how to create the best beer in a real brew kettle - with knowledge, fun and a lot of passion.
